This is one of the old city situated on Himalayan valley. It was also capital of British governed India 100 years ago.
Known as the Summer capital of British India , this place is situated in Southern Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 2100m. It still has echoes of the British influence.

Central part of the shimla town is Mall Road which almost divides the city in two parts. In the center of the city is the famous scandal point which was immortalised by Rudyard Kipling. The ridge is also a famous place to visit.
Shimla is also known for one of the best honeymoon destination.
